Changing your default behaviors will change your life.

Eat junk food or drink when you get stressed? Do some pushups or squats instead. Toss and turn frustratedly or binge tv when you can’t sleep? Try reading or journaling. Lash out or seethe internally when you feel criticized? Take a few deep breaths instead and consider what you can learn from the situation.

We have default behaviors we’ve gotten accustomed to that become habits. If you get intentional about aligning your default behaviors with the types of behaviors that lead to your desired outcomes, your life will improve dramatically over time. For every undesirable default you identify that you have, there is sure to be a great replacement that will move your life in the direction you want.
