If you had to choose one thing to do every single day for the rest of your life, what would it be?

Time is an incredible gift. Regardless of your age there is something you can start doing that would change your life for the better and compound dramatically over time. Imagine doing something every day for 10 years. How about 20? 30? 50? I want to be doing things every day that I look back on as years have passed and am grateful and amazed at what it’s led to.

I thought about committing to publishing a blog post daily. I haven’t done so yet, although I haven’t decided against doing it in the future. On the one hand I don’t want to feel forced to push out content and risk that making my writing becoming a chore. On the other hand, it would be a great way to grow my work and improve my writing. While I’m not yet publishing blogs daily, starting nearly two months ago I have been writing every day, even if just a quick thought on my phone, or a few sentences in a journal. Just a few months in it’s already such a great feeling to look back on all the pages. I’ve spent so many years not writing, it’s been a joy to get back into it and slowly build.

It’s intimidating and nerve-wracking to think about committing to doing something every day. I think it’s a great thing to aspire to. Every day is a chapter of your life. Make them count. Do the things worth doing. Then as time passes, look back in wonder at the life they have led to.
