The previous generation believed in hard work, meaning early mornings, long nights, hard work. You work even to the detriment of family time and forsake other pursuits to be there for work. It’s important to BE there.
The new generation values a quality life and not waiting until retirement to be relaxed, have good mental health, and be there with your family.
They are both right. But we need a bridge in between. Hard, important work. Be there when it counts. Be flexible to be there for your family. Choose the most important place to be in a given scenario.
