Jumping in front of a bullet to save a comrade. Pushing a child out of the street as a car is coming.
Waking up early to get the baby. Meal prepping. Noticing and picking up household items like toilet paper and soap when it’s running low. Keeping the house clean.
It’s a tragic and awe-inspiring event for a courageous hero to die, sacrificing their life to protect their country or loved ones. Still, those fortunate enough not to go through that have an opportunity to be heroes too, by living for their country or loved ones daily. Putting in the hard work to serve day in and day out.
There are more chances to be a hero than you think, it just doesn’t always come with recognition.
