A great life is not one in which we never experienced discomfort. In fact, a great life is waiting for us on the other side of discomfort.

When we learn how to deal with discomfort, how to address it, do the uncomfortable thing that needs doing… when we build that skill, we become unstoppable. We no longer live our life in fear of uncomfortable situations. We trust ourselves to be able to handle them.

Trying something new can be uncomfortable. Speaking truth can be uncomfortable. Letting go can be uncomfortable. Honestly assessing yourself can be uncomfortable. Admitting you were wrong can be uncomfortable. Taking a chance, asking someone out on a date can be uncomfortable.

Comfort and a great life are enemies. When you come across something uncomfortable today that you know you need to do, embrace it, glad for the opportunity to build this life-changing skill.
