The answer is outside yourself

There is a proverb “if there is no enemy within the enemy outside, can do us no harm”. That speaks to ourselves often being our own, worst enemy and harshest critic.

In times when we struggle with this, with our perfectionism that has never resulted in perfection, we can be tempted to wage a war within, casting ourselves down.

The answer lies not with overanalyzing ourselves though, but rather remembering who we love and seek to serve. Focus on and love our loved ones so much that the love can’t help but bleed over onto ourselves and overpower any internal negativity.

Love relentlessly today.
