Growing up I was an avid nonfiction reader. I loved reading Harry Potter, Star Wars, and all sorts of fiction books.
In most of my adult life I’ve exclusively read and listened to nonfiction, personal development type content. I enjoy it and feel like I’ve learned from it, but I also feel there is something missing.
When we’re all work and no play, is it possible it takes away from our joy and success in both areas? I think so. A little play can be re-energizing, and keep our minds agile and open to possibilities.
What’s the right balance for you between fiction and non fiction, between work and play?
