The book Infinite Game by Simon Sinek (which I have started but not finished) expresses the idea that life should be treated as such – an infinite game in which there is no conclusion.
This encourages a growth mentality and mindset – that you are never and will never be ‘there’, but should always be striving to get further.
This reminds me of how I’ve heard many people end up being disappointed when arriving at their destination or goal, and that the journey itself deserves appreciation. When you make peace with being perpetually on a journey, you aren’t disappointed that you haven’t arrived yet.
How are you playing the game? What can you begin to appreciate about the journey?
